In 1968, six girls are condemned to forced labor at a Catholic reform school, a dark institution controlled by the Sisters of Charity in upstate New York. They were locked away merely for being gay, pregnant, or simply unruly. But there is Sister Bernadette, who is loyal to the nuns, even as her conscience weighs on her. Can the girls find the courage to break free?
