The mansion Sonya MacTavish inherited from an uncle she never knew cuts an imposing figure perched on its cliff. It's also haunted by a number of spirits. Among them is Hester Dobbs, the witch who cursed the family more than two centuries ago, murdered its brides through the generations, and still wants revenge. Day by day, though, Sonya's fears fade a bit, replaced by defiance.
