Sarah Huttington has recently become engaged. She goes home to Pasadena with Jeff, her fiancée, for a family wedding. She hears a rumor that 'The Graduate' was based on her family. She wonders if her grandmother and her mom had a fling with the same man just before her parents married. She wonders if she is the strange man's child since she does not seem to fit in with her other family members. She worries that she is going to enter a loveless marriage. She needs answers, but her mother's dead and her father does want to answer. She decides to ask the man in the triangle, the real Benjamin Braddock. With Jeff's blessing, Sarah heads for San Francisco, looking for the key to her past and to her future.
