Usagi Yojimbo's travels with the young Jotaro will soon come to an end, and the ronin struggles with whether he should reveal to his "nephew" the true nature of their relationship. Also: the pair aid another traveling father and son--the legendary assassin Lone Goat and Kid; the sensei Katsuichi is drawn into a reverie over the tinkling of a passing lady's bells; assassins strike at the Geishu lord, Noriyuki; Usagi and Jotaro encounter a proud ronin fallen on hard times, and Jotaro befriends the man's desperate son; Usagi and Jotaro reunite with Katsuichi and Shunji, but a suspicious band of traveling entertainers pose a new threat.
