READ AFRICA - Children Picture Books

Explore these diverse stories about people from African countries such as Morocco, Uganda, Somalia, South Africa, Ghana, Gambia, Liberia, Tanzania and more. These books were purchased with a grant from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Africa Studies Program and have been placed in the children's picture book section of the library. The intent of the READ AFRICA program is give public libraries throughout Wisconsin the opportunity to enrich their collections with new titles. Several of the titles listed are new to the system and there is a mixture of fiction and non-fiction to enjoy with your child. Find a book that speaks to you, request it and have it delivered to your home library.
