Technically, overall, this is a good book, but my problem - - a constant problem I have with Lewis - - is his reframing, focusing on a quasi-good guy [or gal], when all the players are really quite bad. In this book, which the movie stays true to, he frames the traders who understood what was going on, as the // good guys \\ while many of us back in 2007 were sounding the alarm, not all of us were also causing the problem, which these so-called good guys were, along with the bad guys, i.e., they also took part in structured finance, doing so and purchasing CDSes or credit default swaps, which greatly magnified and amplified the problem to thousands to millions of times worse. Highly recommend the movie, unfortunately. [Movie mentiones that millions will be made homeless - - CHECK - - that $10 million can be and was rolled into billions of dollars - - CHECK - - that everything, and the entire system, was fraudulent - - CHECK - - how Morgan Stanley should have gone out of business [they would later, along with BlackRock, be in charge of disbursing the TARP bailout funds], et cetera!]
