Predictable and formulaic but we enjoyed the performances of Craig Ferguson and Ford Kiernan (who played the Ferguson character's friend). The banter and juvenile humor (much of it adlibbed?) just seemed natural and a funny coming from Ferguson, but forced, and somewhat irritating from Gifford. The script needed a little more work. Ferguson saved the movie from a fail, elevating it to mediocre.

As I despise Kathy Lee Gifford, I was torn on whether or not to even take the time to watch this film, but as I adore Craig Ferguson, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. It was a very sweet story and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous! However, as a woman and a feminist it pains me to say Elizabeth Hurley and Gifford's performances were by far far below those of Ferguson and the few supporting cast members. Ferguson proved his acting skills are just as good as his comedic skills are. Gifford's talent shined in the screenplay, which she wrote, as well as in the music (she co-wrote every song in the film). In my humble opinion, she should write and produce more screenplays and music, while leaving the acting to other, more talented females.

I love all things Scotland so I checked out this film. I didn't realize one of my fav comedians, former late night show host, Craig Ferguson was the lead actor. For the most part the script was jut okay but I really laughed out loud a lot at Craig's jokes and his humorous way of expressing himself and the dialogue. He enlivens any scene he's in. Kathy Lee Gifford sang well and acted well enough to fulfill the part. I enjoyed seeing the Scottish scenery, castle location and interior shots. The model who played Clare still looks young and fabulous - great facial bone structure - but her part was small and pretty much a waste of time in the story. We heard about the character more than we saw her. More screen time needed to be spent creating conflict in the story regarding her. There are a few curse words used here and there so I wouldn't recommend the film for kids but its a nice, sweet little story with likeable actors. No Oscar nominations will be coming for this film but it was a pleasant experience to watch and Craig Ferguson gave me many laughs during this Pandemic time.

I cannot find the words to express how wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable this romantic comedy was. Kathy Lee Gifford has never impressed me before, but she and the others all filled the screen with love and good humor. I feel sad for the two reviewers who gave up in the first few stage-setting scenes to miss out on this true masterpiece. A movie that should not be missed.
