Tantalizing Twenty-seven : A Stephanie Plum Novel
Book - 2020 | First edition
"When Stephanie's beloved Grandma Mazur's new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair and the keys to a life-changing fortune. But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli's treasure, they discover that they're not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way-along with a new adversary who's even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She's also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts-and someone who's about to give Stephanie a real run for her money."

The twenty-seventh entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

I still enjoy the Stephanie Plum books. They are just some light hearted fun. I do wish she would choose between Range and Joe.
Time for the series to end. Glad I got this from the library and did not waste any money. This series lost its appeal a long time ago. I gave the previous book a chance because the reviews said Stephanie's character was reevaluating her pathetic life. That book was OK, still not good. This one is back to the same old crap. Stephanie's character is completely unlikable to me and seems like nothing but a booty call. I can't really blame the male characters, she acts like one. Maybe Lulu can give her a few tips and she can start making some extra cash. Unless Stephanie blows up in one of her cars in a future book, I am done reading any other books in this series. Don't recommend.
I really think this is one of the better plots that Janet has come up with!
This book, like Evanovich’s last Stephanie Plum book, was disappointing.
It’s the same old characters, same underwhelming plot, and nothing more.
Perhaps it’s time for Plum to get married and the series to end.
Just as in the previous 26 books, Grandma goes to a funeral; Stephanie destroys a few cars; Mom cooks. Plum also stands around helpless while Ranger nabs her FTAs. Throw in the Mob, some tunnels, a kidnapping, and introduce a spin-off character, and zany-adventure mad libs, and this is the latest book. I actually enjoyed venting this disappointing experience more than reading about it.
This one ticks all my boxes for a Stephanie Plum adventure: Love triangle - check; multiple car casualties - check; Lula and Grandma Mazur in peak form - check; new quirky wingman - check; FTAs with unusual back stories - check; yummy food - check; and Stephanie being Stephanie - check.
I don't know about you, but I flip flop back and forth between Team Joe and Team Ranger like an overcooked pancake. It's part of the fun, right? And Stephanie is still a hapless bounty hunter with plenty of tenacity and a ton of good luck. Even a professional treasure hunter gives her some props. Janet Evanovich is at the top of her game on this one, in my opinion. I had the good fortune of meeting her at an author event sponsored by my local library last year. Hearing her discuss her books has given my appreciation for the series a boost. Looking forward to seeing how the mysterious Gabriela Rose is developed in the final book of the trilogy and #28.
Lots of books on order, and no e-Books at all.
PLEASE consider those of us who have arthritis in our hands and use e-Readers.
i just dont want either joe or ranger to die
