"Don't usually check out romance novels. Usually go for murder mystery, action suspense or biography but actually enjoyed this book."
I’ve always loved Susan Mallery and her stories, but as well as this one was written (as always) I just couldn’t get myself as invested as normal. The characters were well developed and the story moves along nicely, but I still felt as though I was forcing myself to finish the book because it was due, rather than not being able to put it down. Still one of my favorite authors, and always great to see how the other residents in happily inc are doing!
I listened to the audio version of this book. I believe the voice of Tanya Eby added to the story for me. The natural (?) or voice she used for the female character was super easy to listen to and very appealing.
I have read many Susan Mallery books. I was probably a little less invested in this story than some of the others. Still-- there was a damaged military hero with PTSD, a rescued dog, sweet and hot scenes and a HEA. It pretty much hit all the points for me.

Add a CommentReally enjoyed this book, great characters, lots of humour and the inside details of being a wedding planner.
