The next installment in the blockbuster franchise follows vampire death dealer Selene as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David and his father Thomas, she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

A poor addition to the Underworld series. Often these sequels become poorer as the writers lose interest and simply mail it in.

The saga continues but with lesser interest on my part as Selene has lost her partner and her daughter is spirited away to anonymous safety. She is still a formidable force and fighter. There is an interesting development with more hybrids appearing and both Lycans and vampires seeking their unique blood. Violence is finely choreographed.

If you've seen all of the earlier chapters of Underworld, you must see this last chapter to get closure. Even Kate Beckinsale says this is her last Underworld ... but we all know how salary can change people's minds on "never again" claims. Impressed that they filmed this using Scott Speedman's archive material & a stand-in actor where the face is not visible. SPOILER: If the vampire's blood contains their memories, why isn't there a Cleaner or Archiver vampire who's job is to collect all the spilt blood after a battle, to save all the deceased memories? Wouldn't it be more effective for all vampires to share their blood with each other to begin with to accelerate learning - sort of like a vampire-Borg (Star Trek reference) collective?

Unfortunately this series seems to have run its course. I liked this one better than the fourth installment, but I would suggest only watching the first two movies of this series. The main issue with this one was the ending, which was very abrupt and messy - like they had run out of time or money.

I liked it mainly because it gave me a break from zombie movies.

Too hard to follow & a shallow script & ho hum acting. Give me Hitchcock or Kubrick. I wasn't entertained & it lacked credibility. I didn't relate to the script thread.

Great... a battle between vampires and werewolves depends on fighting with automatic weapons. Predictable and boring.

What's one to do having chased the series after four prior films but to watch this to find out what's latest in the Underworld eternal conflict. Not the best but better than "Rise of the Lycans 2009" and on par with "Awakening 2012." Icy Lara Pulver shined in this latest episode. Resident Evil began in 2002 "Resident Evil" and its lead actor Milla Jovovich pushing 42. Underworld began in 2003 and Beckinsale is 44. Both not as good as when they were in their prime, and time is running out for both heroines in hyper-action films with or without stuntmen.

I enjoyed the movie, and love Kate B. looking fabulous in her black leather. It wraps up some questions about what happened to her lover, and child.

Bad. Plot makes no sense. It is time to let the series end.
