Rather boring. It put me to sleep. Weird plot hard to follow.

Some of the stories were a tad old (Prime Minister immediately falls for “servant girl”), but others were very interesting (woman and her brother). Well acted. Some things were not really explained that well (the stand ins) and I never did figure out the l relationship between Sam’s dad (Liam Neeson) and the character parlayed by Emma Thompson. And it is long. But overall, a nice way to spend a winter afternoon!

I loved...no the best romantic movie, but very sweet, simple for enjoy the magic when we are falling in love.

Another "it is not Christmas until I watch" movie! Classic, the way the story lines all intertwine with each other really make this one special....plus Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Keira Knightly? Yes, Please!

A funny and engaging holiday classic! This movie is intriguing and clever; there are multiple story-lines and yet I was fully invested in most of the characters and scenarios. I didn't want the movie to end.

This movie took a long time to grow on me; in fact, I hated it when I first saw it in the theatre. The storylines with Hugh Grant and with Colin Firth are the best but the situations involving the young couple featured in this movie were really uncalled for. Not for children, at all. Look for a very young Andrew Lincoln playing opposite Kiera Knightly.

I really like this movie, and once I edited a version without the inappropriate sections, my kids really liked it too.

This movie begins and ends with people running into each other's arms in Heathrow Airport. Because, as people faced death on 9/11, they called to tell their most important people to say they loved them. Not to ask for vengeance, etc. Their last thoughts were of those they loved.

Each story in this movie has a beginning, middle and end. Not all are happy, though many are. I turn to this movie for the happy endings, when the world seems too full of hate and greed.

I loved the cast- especially Bill Nighy- but found the story too disjointed and lacking pace. It was the first rom-com I've seen that was almost entirely from male POVs, which didn't really add anything, and didn't really help the overloaded script much.

Just an FYI on the comments below about "porn stars" and gratuitous sex. First, those were not "porn stars." Those were stand ins for celebrity actors during camera set ups. Ironically, the movie was making a really pointed comment about how so many movies have sex scenes to accommodate female nudity. I actually had to laugh in the scene where the camera assistant asks the woman to lean her nipples "forward and to the left". Those scenes were meant to elicit sympathy for the many actors who earn their living being Julia Robert's backside, or Mandy Moore's chest, etc.

Love's various forms and stages shown through a conglomerate of "six degrees of separation" relationships. Watch the deleted scenes. This film was origianlly 3 1/2 hours long and I enjoyed the cut scenes enough to have watched them if they had been included in the movie and took it back to the origianal running time.

Hurry up big boy, I'm naked and I want you at least twice before Jamie gets home.

Jamie: Beautiful Aurelia, I've come here with a view of asking you to marriage me. I know I seems an insane person - because I hardly knows you - but sometimes things are so transparency, they don't need evidential proof. And I will inhabit here, or you can inhabit with me in England.
Sophia Barros: [in Portuguese] Definitely go for England, girl. You'll meet Prince William - then you can marry him instead.
