Add a CommentNonsense. I lasted to page 23, trying to find why this book is listed in category of bestsellers. But did not find it. Distorted,
one-sided presentation of historical facts, misspelled russian last names, abrupt language...
The prose could be more graceful but the time and place are evocative and the characters nicely fleshed out. A bit too leisurely, perhaps, but with some nice plot twists.
A very dull novel with nothing memorable about it.
Boringly predictable.
