Ben is an overburdened movie producer. He tries to balance his life and has to contend with the never-ending demands of 2 ex-wives, his ice-queen studio head, and a menagerie of various Hollywood prima donnas. Ben manages to take it all in stride. He copes by exuding a smoothly assuring demeanor. The only thing that really seems to upset Ben is when he discovers that his ex-wife sleeps with one of his colleagues.

I did not watch the entire movie because I got bored. Such a bummer because I love Deniro and thought this would be good.

Would Watch again: Kill me.

This movie should have never been made. Yet it is clear why it was made. The autobiography of someone that no one gives a crap about. Except maybe his mother. A producer. A producer without a real story to tell. Good God poke my eyes out please. Dinero what were you thinking? Really? Really? Did you read the script before you accepted the role?

This guy obviously is power hungry and thinks he is the bees knees, he wants to glorify his life in an egotistical attempt to be remembered. No climax. No arc in the story. Nothing worth Watching.
Save 2 hours of your life.

This film's smug, patriarchal, ethnic, insider humour about the Hollywood film industry went right over my head--& I couldn't care less.

Fair – What Just Happened (2008) 104 min. It’s ironic that one of the main quotes in the film was delivered by De Niro himself who plays a movie producer and asked if a certain story idea he’s been pitched had potential and said, “It’s not a movie”. Half way through this film, I didn’t think this story was a movie either. But then it began to grow on me. Robert De Niro’s ex-wife may be having an affair with an agent collegue of his; Bruce Willis, who plays a “diva” doesn’t want to shave his beard for a picture he’s about to shoot and lastly, De Niro has to deal with a director who doesn’t want to re-shoot a couple of scenes so as not to offend the audience. In actuality, there’s a lot of movie in this film but it just didn’t come across as wanting to impress me, either.
