This semi-autobiographical novel tells the story of Franny Banks, a struggling young actress in 1990's New York City. When she came to NYC three years ago, Franny set a deadline to make it as an actress. Now she is six months to her…

it is a casual read about someone trying to make it big. It is not my type of book. it was okay. The story moved somewhat slow.

Liked a lot. It was a quick easy read. Something that could be similar to a show I would watch where you know who Franny should be with but doesn't get with but may does, and want a sequel.

Competently written, rather predictable storyline. A decent light read.

I only read this book because it was written by Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls). The story was mildly entertaining and 100% predictable. An easy read but nothing special.

A fast enjoyable read of an actress struggling to make it in NYC. I imagine it was partially autobiographical or at least based on her own experiences when she started out.

The story is about a struggling actress on a self-imposed deadline, who is trying to make it as an actor in 1990s New York. It's a fun read. Graham really captured NY during that time period - loved the reference to the drug dealers in the…

Cute, heart warming, and inspiring story. I can definitely relate to Franny. Nice, quick read. I've been a fan of Lauren Graham's since Gilmore Girls. So if you're a fan, check out her book.
